The Network draws inspiration from the former British Spas Federation, which once brought the country's principal spa towns together around shared interests in water, health, research and tourism.

Today, those connections offer the foundations for a new national endeavour, bringing together local organisations, researchers, practitioners and institutions across Britain and internationally.

Our purpose is to advance the recognition, stewardship and cultural expression of Britain's spa towns, springs and watering places.

​

Through shared knowledge, research, advocacy and collaboration, we aim to strengthen the future of these places while allowing each to pursue its own character and ambitions.

​

The initiative is being developed through conversations begun by Harrogate Spa Society and Malvern Spa Association, with an invitation to others to help shape what follows.
